The rehabilitation plan is defined based on the patient idiosyncrasy. A hiker and a yoga athlete, for instance, would have to perform a different physiotherapeutic program based on specific techniques that complement each sport even if the radiology test look identical in both cases.
In addition, both cases will require the same time to heal but downtime will differ depending on the sport and the athletes’ level.
The sole circumstance where all patients share the same goal is during the peak of the trauma where soothing the symptoms is imperative and inevitably shapes the whole therapeutic rehabilitation plan.
